What are the special digestive issues in kids? Have you ever noticed how the elderly pay what seems like special attention to the movements of their bowels? In this issue we explore the issues in elimination at either end of the lifespan and we hear a frank discussion of another brave soul’s digestive habits.  Doctor Bittoo Kanwar informs us about how to prevent the most common digestive issues in infants, children, and adolescents.  Yī Shēng Chris Randle educates us about the traditional Chinese medical perspective on the most common digestive problem in the elderly.  My good friend ‘Marc’ bravely divulged the details of his digestive habits for the benefit and progress of humanity.

Ode to my Ulcer

Fire
fed by an unseen anger
Screaming forth
to a river of blood
Burning unknown sorrows
with the fury
of an unnamed fear.

Don’t dare to douse this blaze
that seeks untamed ways.
